Laser cutting, welding protection
Nitrogen for laser cutting stainless steel can prevent the welded part from being oxidized by oxygen when exposed to air, and also prevent porosity in the weld. When welding metals, nitrogen can be used to protect metals from oxidation.
Aquaculture
It is known that for fish growth in fish farms or fish ponds, oxygen plays the most important role in the growth compared to other parameters like temperature, suspended solid etc. For a aquaculture dissolved oxygen in water should be continuously monitored all the time. Enough dissolved oxygen in fish farms or fish ponds will not only help improve water quality and reduce or prevent fish diseases, but also efficiently reduce the food coefficient to improve profit. A fish consumes around 1.0g oxygen per kg per hour.
Food
In food industry nitrogen is used for bacteria removal, beverage bottling, coffee processing and packing, storage as well as that of beer, wine nitrogen chips, snacks, milk, edible oil, sauce etc.
Pharmaceuticals
Nitrogen gas is essential for medicineās production process, which requires nitrogen for anti-oxidation. Nitrogen in tank keeps oxygen and CO2 in water in low level. Product medicines packaging also requires nitrogen for longer preservation. Medicine liquid nitrogen infusion bottles or ampule bottles must be injected with nitrogen with oxygen content 0.5% maximum for longer preservation. Some parts contacting medicine of the equipment shall be stainless steel materials instead of common carbon steels
Environment Protection
In environmental protection area, nitrogen acts as inerting gas to prevent the generation of harmful or combustible gases that may lead to danger to equipment, by isolating the oxygen required by these gases.
Tires
Tire processing and tire charging requires nitrogen gas. The traditional civil technology of steel wire radial tires sizing is to use superheated water. Internally nitrogen vulcanization is widely used for this process to have better economic benefits. Now more and more have used nitrogen method for tyre manufacturing. Each car tire requires around 1.25m3 nitrogen while truck tyre uses 12m3.
Aerospace
Explosion-proof aircraft and rockets with dry protection of normal temperature gas and nitrogen, rocket fuel booster, launch pad replacement gas and safety shielding gas, astronaut control gas, space simulation room, cleaning gas of aircraft fuel pipelines, etc.
Fermentation
Take beer brewing, for example. Beer fermentation requires the action of yeast. Yeast generally has two types of alienation, one is aerobic and the other is anaerobic type. When oxygen is sufficient, yeast is aerobic type, oxygen participates in yeast organic synthesis, organic matter accumulation is more, yeast multiplies quickly. When the yeast multiplies to a certain number, the oxygen is cut off. At this time, yeast breathes anaerobic and produces organic matter and alcohol, which is what we need. If oxygen is not introduced first, the number of yeasts is insufficient, and the brewing speed is slow and impure.
Laboratories
They are used in laboratories for ELSD, LC-MS instruments for VOC detection, carries gas, purge gas, sample preparations, mass spectrometers, cell incubators, IVF incubators etc.
